Manicure (Step by step tutorial for my students)
Below is a brief summary of the manicure procedure for my students taking ITEC.
- Remove nail polish.
- File the nails starting from the little finger with long strokes in 1 direction. File the sides first.
- Apply sweet almond oil with a cotton bud onto the cuticles. Massage the oil into the cuticles with a circular motion.
- Soak the fingers in a bowl containing warm water.
- Repeat steps 2-4 on the other hand.
- Take out wet fingers & dab dry with towel.
- Apply cuticle cream with a cotton bud onto the cuticles. Massage the cream into the cuticles with a circular motion.
- Push back cuticles in a circular motion with an orange stick. Dip in water for every finger.
- Use a cuticle knife in a circular motion for the sides. Dip in water for every finger.
- Clip away excess cuticle with a cuticle nipper.
- Buff with up & down stokes. Use all 3 sides.
- Massage.
- Polish.
Ladies, please print out a set of these papers.
